Courtesy of the Bibendum Burgundy tasting 2007. This Clos de Bèze is obviously superb from the outset. Multi-layered, multi-dimensional. This grand cru is like a rubik's cube of perfect pinot, a great terroir and vinification skills. Tremendous minerality, ripe cherry fruit and a classic Palladian structure. Finally one of the Pascal Lachaux negoçiant wines hits the spot. Photo shows probably the world's greatest wine-taster, Rodolphe de Pinozon MW.
