Courtesy of the Corney & Barrow Burgundy 2007 tasting. Auxey is a lovely spot hidden away up the valley from Meursault and its wines often feel like a dizzy frolic in a spring meadow (?). This red Auxey was picked in early September. It's elegant, petite, perfumed pinot. Crumbles of pastry, wonderful fresh fruits des bois, its a très jolie vin d'été. Also offered at a bon rapport qualité/prix.
