Aloxe-Corton 2007, Follin-Arbelet

Courtesy of the Justerini & Brooks Burgundy 2007 tasting. Many of the 2007 wines tasted in January 2009 are barrel samples or have recently been bottled. This Aloxe-Corton seemed to be suffering immensely. Initial aromas of medicine, bizarreness, chemicals. Cherry flavour with a suspect sulphurous finish. Problematic and not terribly nice. Unfortunate because this domaine which was created when Frank Follin started bottling his vineyards' grapes rather than selling to Louis Latour should have more to offer.
