Are there two domaines called Ramonet? This is produced by Domaine Ramonet, described as: "viticulteur à Chassagne-Montrachet". But is this the same as the André Ramonet domaine which has been handed over to his sons Noel and Jean-Claude? The Ramonet domaine that has received plaudits for their whites from the high and mighty? The reason I ask is because this Chassagne 2005 rouge is very straightforward: cherry and strawberry nose, soft tannins with some chewy strawberry leaf not much gumption. Thanks to all the US tax payers for the $700 billion financial bail out!
