The
Louis Jadot domaine is one of the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy with 150 hectares in total and 70 hectares of the Côte d'Or. This négociant house has a phenomenal range of premier cru and grand cru vineyards. This Mâcon-Azé is not one of these stellar wines! Its just a Mâcon-Villages with the village name appended. There is a nose of charentais melon, citrus, white pepper and pear. The aromas are there but not overwhelming. Rich and heavy on the palate -- the house style. This wine is very drinkable but too heavy which makes for dull drinking from the second glass onwards.
