Vosne-Romanée "Aux Réas" 2004, A-F Gros

Tasted at the domaine and can be compared with notes for the 2005. Cherry colour, initial nose of strawberry, quite open, oak and deep cassis. Slightly green tannins which is the initial impression, a tad floury and fresh. This doesn't escape from the green 2004. The wine maker classifies this as a vin de garde but I don’t see it. It lacks tannin and most importantly ripe fruit. Drink with juicy meats to overcome the lack of concentration don’t see it ageing and improving.
