Beaune 1er Cru "Les Boucherottes" 2005, A-F Gros
Tasted at the domaine. Rich plum purple, fairly closed on the nose. Soft dark berry fruit, licorice. Medium to high tannins, ripe fruits, vanilla, rich finish. Will become a ripe glossy wine by 2010. Likely the ripe fruit will overpower the tannins and acidity. Not like 1990 which had a bigger more balanced structure. Burgundy producers consider 2005 too ripe to be a classic. Compare with the notes for the same wine from September 2007.
