Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrières" 2006, Vincent Dancer

As all Burgundy hands know, Les Perrières and Les Charmes are the best 1er cru terroirs. Does Vincent Dancer deliver the goods in 06? Of yes he does! The nose is citrus, fairly closed, but there is a solid wall of ripe green fruit aromas suggesting an intense nose will evolve. Importantly there is vivacity and charm. Fresh pear fruit, very rich and thick on the palate, wonderful fruit with impressive length. Will be stunning in 2010 but not before. Confirms Vincent Dancer as a serious and conscientious Meursault producer. Tasted at the Justerini & Brooks Burgundy 2006 tasting.
