Corton Grand Cru "Bressandes" 2006, Tollot-Beaut
The "Bressandes" grand cru is one of the largest and sits in the middle of the famous Corton Hill between the villages of Aloxe and Ladoix. These wines tend to be tannic and backwards and no suprise that it wasn't giving away much as to its future personality. Faint aromas of blood orange, roast pheasant carcass, hot iron and oak. Remains in its shell on the palate with foursquare tannins dominating the fruit. Needs time to settle.
