Thick cherry red colour. Fairly closed then exhibits seductive small red and black berry aromas. Concentrated, fairly rich, mouth-filling fruit. Emerging finesse from the fruit but dominated by wood and limestone. This wine will evolve well for 5 years given the strong base of ripe fruit, fresh acidity, and medium tannins from the terroir. Ile-des-Vergelesses is considered to be the best of the Pernand premiers crus.
