Pale yellow, consistent colour. Initial aromas faint. Light beurre d'Isigny aroma, white-fleshed vegetable aromas like leek and Japanese daikon radish. Evolves to a hard-to-define tree fruit. Medium bodied fruit on the palate, good balance, pleasant clove and white pepper spice. Rounded and slightly fleshy. Well made and the nose will peak in 2 years time. Good with a caesar salad or poached salmon.
This wine is made by Christophe Collovray and Jean-Luc Terrrier who grew up together in Davaye and also run Le Domaine des Deux Roches. They also sell different single vineyard cuvees of Saint-Veran under the Domaine des Deux Roches brand (
