Ruby red colour. Immediately open on cherries, vanilla and strawberry - a sweet and ripe nose which is really delightful. A soupcon of brown sugar or creme caramel. There is a tangy apple flavour -- interesting for a red wine -- with good structured tannins and a really dry finish. The terroir has large blocks of limestone and tends to be hard in the first few years after bottling. In 2 years the ripe cherry and strawberry fruit will come out more clearly and the tannins recede. Tasted at the domaine as shown in the photo.
