Ladoix 1er Cru "Le Bois Roussot" 2005, Capitain-Gagnerot

The terroir of the Bois Roussot premier cru is made up of layers of chalk and clay which produces a well-balanced style of wine even when young. This version has aromas of oak, cassis, blackberry and rose. In the mouth it impresses with heaps of cassis and ripe red currant fruit. There are strong tannins on the front palate, with a long fruit sensation and a potent finish. Captures the 2005 ripeness really well and promises to be a very enjoyable wine. Tasted at the domaine.
