Auxey-Duresses Vieilles Vignes 2005, Alain Gras

Rich red/purple colour. Black cherry, oak and blackberry. Fairly big tannins for an Auxey with a full structure, concentrated blackberries with a small pinot berry texture, great fruit impact on the finish. Ripe black berry fruit flavours. Slight chalkiness. Made from 100 year old vines. Tasted at domaine Alain Gras.
