Auxey-Duresses 2004, Michel Prunier

Medium cherry red colour. Bright, punchy, red currant, slightly bitter cherry, rhubarb and loganberry. Very fresh, simple but tasty with tart tannin. A nice simple food wine with a slab of jambon persille or pate de campagne to add some fat. In 2004 which was touched by green fruit due to the lack of sunshine Michel Prunier has made a good effort and captured the vintage characteristics.
