Vosne-Romanee 2004, Perrot-Minot

Another 2004 red Burgundy in our blind-tasting. A medium-red highly reflective wine with blackberry fruits on the first nose of excellent quality, which continue through the evolution to black cherry and vanilla. On the palate the wine is rich, ripe, and full with a long finish and a superb cassis flavour. Promises great pleasure from 2009.

The Domaine Perrot-Minot has been in existence for four generations and they own 10 hectares of vineyards. The wines are aged for between 16 and 18 months in oak barrels with a high percentage being new oak. More info on the producer at: http://www.perrot-minot.com/.
