Domaine Jean-Marc Bouley

We visited Jean-Marc Bouley in May 2006. He is based in Volnay and makes a range of Volnays and Pommards. During the tasting an elderly gentleman who was hard-of-hearing turned up and got confused between the words "premier" and "fremier" much to our amusement. When he saw a Guide Hachette 2006 award for one of the wines he asked M. Bouley if he had already bottled his 2006s. Daft old bugger! Bouley's wines are tasty, designed to be drunk in their first 7 years, and are very reasonable if you buy them direct from him.
