Marsannay “Les Longeroies” 2009, Bruno Clair
Tasted blind in Puligny, this wine had a consistent rich red colour and shows some age on the rim. Pencil lead, cassis, blackberry. Open and ripe. Very engaging. On the palate this Marsannay 2009 is structured, offers lovely black fruit, long, rich, cassis and orange. A superb wine which I thought was a 2010 Gevrey. Right planet, wrong moon. Scores 79/100 which is a top score for a simple little Marsannay village.
