Auxey-Duresses Vieilles Vignes 2009, Pascal Prunier-Bonheur

This Auxey has a light silvery yellow colour showing little of the ripeness of the 2009 vintage. Pretty nose of yellow apple, lemon and globe artichoke. A gentle waft of cream. Good concentration. Yellow apple and white peach flavour with a touch of bitter banana on the finish. Savoury style and impressive freshness. This has aged incredibly well and shows no signs of oxidation. Lovely stuff and a great proof point for the consistency of Pascal Prunier-Bonheur’s wines. Scores 78-81/100.
