Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru "Les Pruliers" 2016, Jean Grivot

This 1er Cru NSG from Domaine Jean Grivot was tasted at the annual Justerini & Brooks en primeur Burgundy tasting. Brooding nose, oak, violets, there is an underlying potency yet it is unwilling to share. Very tight on the palate, NSG grip, not so much concentrated fruit and unsure of the ripeness. Very dry. Priced at a monster £1,150 per case of 12 bottles in bond. There is not enough showing on the palate to assess this wine.
