Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Garenne" 2010, Marc Colin

Domaine Marc Colin et Fils forms part of the omnipresent Colin family in Chassagne rivalled only by the Bouzereau family of Meursault for the number of family units producing wine. They have a very impressive range of village and premier cru lieu-dit across Chassagne, Puligny and Saint-Aubin. La Garenne is a sliver of vineyards at the same height on the slope as Le Montrachet but towards Meursault and Blagny. This 2010 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne has a nose of vanilla, pear, white flowers, fresh apple juice and strawberry juice. It's an enthralling, gentle nose which is most enjoyable to inhale! Lovely pear fruit on the palate, the sensation is soft and sensual with a drop of ripe honeydew melon and a salty finish. A delightful wine.
