Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos St Jean" 2010, Domaine Parigot

The lieu-dit "Clos St Jean" is one of the better premier cru vineyards in Chassagne. although not on a part with the top premiers crus lieux dit in Puligny. Mais bien sur que non! Unlike the Meursault tasted prior to this Chassagne at the domaine in April 2012, there is not much showing initially. Some stalky herbs like rosemary, thyme mixed in with oranges and lemons. Light, charming, lacks some fruit compared to the Limozin. This comes in at 26 euro at the domaine. Scores 21/30 for the Chassagne 1er Cru appellation across all years.
