Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Plantes" 2010, Amiot-Servelle

Another wine tasted at the domaine in April 2012, this Chambolle 1er cru started on a barnyard nose, bucolic, reds, greens, dandelions, elusive aromas. The nose fades in and out with no real impact. Multiple layers of berry fruit on the palate. Ripe and fresh tannins. Fairly enjoyable. The domaine owns 0.39 hectares of vines in "Les Plantes". I am afraid the verdict is that these wines are not interesting and expensive for what they offer. From a pure quality assessment perspective this scores 14-16 / 30 for a Chambolle 1er Cru. Does the domaine struggle in more tricky years like 2004 and 2010 because some of the grapes, such as for the Morey, are bought in?
