Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune 2007, Jean-Marc Bouley

This domaine doesn't have much international reknown but the wines are enjoyable, friendly and reflect the terroir. This pinot has an alluring nose of strawberry, black currant and hedgerow blackberry. Fresh, zappy red berry flavours with a slightly tannic finish. A brunette with straw in her hair and a whiff of the farmyard about her. Just as an Hautes-Côtes should be.
