Pommard 1er Cru "Les Charmots" 2006, Domaine Parigot

Attention! This is a 2006 Pommard 1er cru not a 2008. The difference in maturity is obvious. A biscuity nose melded with raspberry, cherry, oolong tea, buttered celeriac and blood orange. Full flavoured, muscular and complete. This Pommard 1er Cru 2006 combines fruit, fine vegetal structure, impressive length and a warm slightly alcoholic finish (more rum than whisky). Excellent wine to accompany rognons de veau at Ma Cuisine in Beaune. Photo shows pinot grapes in Pommard on August 11th just starting to turn black.
