Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2008, Francois Lamarche

Rounded soft, delicious with a jammy edge. Already drinking now, very approachable for a Clos de Vougeot which so often are four-square for the first 10 years in bottle. Like 2000s, the good 2008s will be wonderfully charming wines but will need to be consumed in the first 8 years or so even high-quality grands crus. The 2000 Echezeaux from DRC had peaked when tasted in December 2009.
