What is the impact of new oak? Big busty wines. This premier cru from
Martelet de Cherisey, based in the tiny Hameau de Blagny between Meursault and Puligny, is a bit of a monster. Cherries, wild strawberries, apricots. Rich and spicy aromas which are "good fun" as James Simpson MW would say. Hot, massive, chewy, big on the palate.
