Chassagne-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes 2007, Bernard Morey

I'm a big fan of vieilles vignes cuvees (when they are old vines ~ 40 years or more) because the old vines offer more depth, deep roots to cope with a lack of water and lower yields offering more complexity. This VV offers up lemon, wax, orange, lime and minerality. Aged in 45% new oak its a thick wine, chewy, savoury style designed for poulet de bresse or a partridge.
