Courtesy of the Bibendum Burgundy tasting 2007. I am a big fan of the wines from Pouilly -- they seem to offer constantly reliable quality based on fine peach and apricot aromas. This was the first time I had tasted the
Domaine Robert-Denogent wines. This Pouilly is atypical: flinty, element of white peach but really tart citrus fruit on the palate, eye-opening acidity and strong grip. The "Reisses" parcel is dominated by clay and the vines are 75 years old. Vendanges took place on September 16th. Quality but more like a Chablis!
