Meursault 1er Cru "Les Poruzots" 2007, Latour-Giraud
Courtesy of the Bibendum Burgundy tasting 2007. Benchmark citrus aromas, ripe, layered. Good tannins combined with a velvety texture. This is impressive although backwards at the moment. A wine which will evolve well and needs more time to settle down (this could well be a barrel sample), meld together and put on some puppy fat. To be retasted. Photo shows the Poruzots vineyard with Meursault church in the background (June 2007).
