Courtesy of the Bibendum Burgundy tasting 2007. The Epenottes parcel is one of the top Beaune 1er crus which lies on the road between Beaune and Pommard. This Beaune has a bright cherry colour; it's got smoke, red berry essence and floral tones when inhaled. Crisp, crunchy, tart and I'm afraid to say slightly green. Again picked on August 27th which is a shame since the better weather arrived after that and the better wines in my opinion result from grapes picked in the first two weeks of September.
