Meursault "Corbins" 2006, Vincent Dancer

Tasted with Vincent Dancer at the Institute of Civil Engineers in London. Starts on green aromas, celery, grassy, almost Sancerre-like which is atypical for the fairly fruity 2006 vintage. Some hints of honey. The low amount of new oak, just 20%, preserves excellent fruit on the palate making this Meursault immediately appealing. Super balance. A very enjoyable wine now and will evolve for 3 years. Similar to 2001 but with more sugar. The Vincent Dancer website has some splendid photos of life in Burgundy.
