Volnay 2005, Fernand & Laurent Pillot

Bright red/dark pink. Berry compote nose with strawberry dominant. Warm, supple, soft. Fresh raspberry and cherry fruit. Relatively light bodied. Medium tannins and a dry finish. At the moment it lacks fruit weight from what as a ripe vintage and compares badly with other wines from this vintage.
