Chablis 1er Cru "La Foret" 2006, Domaine Vocoret & Fils

Light hay colour with vibrant green hue. Opens on apple and lime. Classic tree fruit nose with some emerging minerality. Good balance on the palate, soft white cherry flesh. Medium to high acidity with pleasant fruit texture. This is a tasty Chablis 1er Cru already drinking well as an aperitif. Not made to reach the peaks of quality that 1er Crus can reach. Offers enjoyable drinking over an early breakfast of fresh fruit, hazelnuts, buttered toast and the Financial Times between now and 2009.
