Meursault 2004, Chateau de Meursault

Tasting note from new contributor Daniel Simon. This Meursault village appellation has a light yellow colour with golden highlights. Starts with an elegant nose of citrus and gradually emits notes of rich buttery toast. Minerally palate with lots of lemon, good concentration and a certain richness that leaves one yearning for yet another glass. Moderate length. Went well with asparagus and lobster followed by strawberries in the shade of some hollyhocks. The photograph shows the Meursault A/C vineyards looking towards the village at the Cote d'Or from the valley.
