This is Jean-Marc Bouley in May 2006 hanging tough in the vineyard behind his house in Volnay. He looked so cool I thought he'd start singing "Et moi, et moi, et moi" by Jacques Dutronc. This wine was tasted blind in London not at the domaine. Medium-cherry-red, the wine immediately leaps out of the glass with concentrated raspberries and suggests a Pablo Casals cello concerto. The aromas are interestingly honeyed, potent, and reminiscent of a strawberry coulis. Finishing on eucalyptus. The exotic nature of the wine continues on the palate with a liquid rubies sensation of glittering fruit, excellent length, and a dream-like quality.
